May Have to Boycott KEZ

OK KEZ When I think of Christmas music I think of Andy Williams and Bing Crosby. Sometimes even a little Wham! But for the love of man, I cannot stand that Christmas song about the boy who wants to by shoes for his mom that is dying. It is the most ridiculous song that I have ever heard. And the Jamaican Mary song. Please I cannot stand any more of it.

So Check out my Thrift Store Finds!

So on Saturday Maryn and I were on our way back from Arrowhead mall and she and Mallory had been talking about making snow globes. So I told Maryn that I would stop at my favorite thrift store, the Salvation Army on Grand and the 101 to look for things to put inside the globes.
But while I was there I found a lamp that was so similar to the lamp I had been looking at at HomeGoods that I couldn't believe it. It was the same color, same style, (it had glass for the body) and it was a large lamp. And the best part was it was only $7.77. BUT WAIT, it was 50% off day so I got it for $3.88 which is amazing. The lamp I wanted at HomeGoods was $60 and I just couldn't bring myself to it. Thank Heavens! And then I had been looking at a simple modern lamp for Ethan's room at HomeGoods but it was $30 and because it wasn't a very big lamp I didn't think it was that good of a deal but I found him one as well. And with the 50% off his lamp was only $2.50. After buying the two lamps and a little teddy bear Christmas figurine for Maryn's snowglobe, I made it out of there spending just under $7. AWESOME!

My In Laws Mission Blog

Hey Everyone, Check out the Blog I have been doing for my In-laws

http://www.calledtoservedc.blogspot.com/

Miss you guys!

Finally over the flu, WE HOPE!

So a week ago Saturday, Halloween to be exact, our little Mallory came down with a beautiful stomach bug which we chalked up to eating to much candy. Needless to say her beautiful new comforter, Two large white throw pillows, pillowcases, sheets, small throw pillows and of course the kitchen sink (I swear it wasn't the exorcist) were all receipients of her bountiful gifts. Nasty, Nasty and totally in the middle of the night, OF COURSE. Next day we seemed to be OK. Took a nap slept it off, everything was chill. Fast Forward to Wednesday night. 3:00am and we hear Courtney our 3 year old start the bath water. So I yelled to her and told her to get out and come to bed with me and daddy. I bundled her up snuggled with her and put her between me and Gary. I was talking to her when she decided to share her rank stomach bounty with my unexpecting face. So nasty I almost threw up, but managed to make it to the bathroom. But Oh yes when I went down the hall to the girls room, What's this oh yes the other new comforter and pillow etc have received the same royal treatment! My girls are givers. Next day everything was chill. Friday night headed to a Purse and Jewelry Party at my Brother in Law Brian's podiatry Partners house. Super excited going to score a faux-ch bag. No No No. Can't even walk so sick to my stomach I can't even bring myself to buy anything. WHAT!!! Yep, lucky me. Managed to make it home after the most miserable night of my life, showered for a few hours to try and shake the chills. And dozed off into a drug induced coma. AHHH NYQUIL. OHH YEAH! It will help you get your zzzzz's. Then Gary, Poor Gary trying to help, trying to be a trooper. Down for the count Noon on Saturday. Ring Ring Ring. Mom's watching Maryn and Oh yeah hey Jac, Maryn is so Sick. What the heck. Sunday afternoon and everything is chill. AHHHHHHH. But wait what about Ethan. Hopefully this story has concluded.

Oh Yeah and sorry Tori and Gina remind me not to get too close next time.

My Charlie Brown Tree

For those of you who have been in my backyard you know that I had a little guava tree that I loved. Well this summer while we were on vacation the irrigation broke to the tree and it died in the nasty Arizona sun. I felt so bad I left it there for a few months but finally I had Gary pull it out so I could use it for holloween. And I never got around to decorating it. Last night my sweet tree was used a a table centerpiece for our holiday enrichment. She got decorated in Christmas bulbs and boas and all sorts of bling. She was the most beautiful Charlie Brown Christmas tree I felt like the Peanuts kids were going to show up and sing Hark the Harold Angel Sing. Everyone needs a Guava Chritmas Tree. All is Well!
